Regional Bahá’í Schools
British Columbia has a rich history of offering seasonal Bahá’í schools. For decades, and in many communities across BC, Bahá’í schools have brought people together to build community and advance learning.
Schools have traditionally been held in beautiful, outdoor settings where participants live together for the period of the school. In response to the 2020 health pandemic, the region held its first online school in July 2020, breaking new ground in how we learn and be a community together. We continued the virtual format for the 2021 BC Summer School. Introduced to this new ‘venue’, and hearing from participants the many benefits of accessibility and flexibility it offers for participation, we will explore utilizing virtual formats for future seasonal schools. And as health restrictions continue to open up, we are encouraged to once again plan physical schools as well, with a family focus, open to all. The desire to support the development of schools, physical and/or virtual and at the local community level, is a focus for the Regional Schools Coordinating Committee moving forward.
Updates are posted to the website as new learning opportunities arise. Visit the Schools and Archives pages to learn more about schools locations and experiences. As well, many recordings and handouts from past events are available for your review on the Resources tab.
It is our ongoing hope that schools will inspire and transform. Come and experience Bahá’í community life and be a part of these dynamic learning communities!
