Regional Bahá’í Schools
British Columbia has a rich history of offering seasonal Bahá’í schools. For decades, and in many communities across the province, Bahá’í schools have brought people together to build community and advance learning.
Regional schools are traditionally held in beautiful, outdoor settings where participants gather to learn and live together for the period of the school. In response to the 2020 health pandemic, the region held its first online school in July 2020, and continued the virtual format for the 2021 summer school. Introduced to this new ‘venue’ and hearing from participants the many benefits of accessibility and flexibility, the Regional Schools Coordinating Committee have continued to offer virtual learning opportunities as another regional learning option.
The RSCC, under the direction of the Regional Bahá’í Council, continue to support the development of Bahá’í schools, large and small, shorter or longer, physical and/or virtual, at the regional and local level. We look forward to encouraging a variety of school options being developed to help support the learning and deepening interests of each regional area. We will post information on this website as school details are confirmed.
Visit the Resources tab to find many session recordings and handouts from past events that are accessible for your use. As well, visit the Archives pages to view some past school experiences.
It is our ongoing hope that schools will inspire, transform and enrich communities through these dynamic learning opportunities.
