Regional Bahá’í Schools
British Columbia has a rich history of offering seasonal Bahá’í schools. For decades, and in many communities across BC, Bahá’í schools have brought people together to build community and advance learning.
Schools have traditionally been held in beautiful, outdoor settings where participants live together for the period of the school. In response to the 2020 health pandemic, the region held its first online school in July 2020, breaking new ground in how we learn and be a community together. We continued the virtual format for the 2021 BC Summer School.
Introduced to this new ‘venue’, and hearing from participants the many benefits of accessibility and flexibility, the Regional Schools committee will explore the possibilities of including virtual options for future seasonal schools. And as health restrictions are relaxed, we are hoping to again plan physical schools with a family focus, yet open to all. The committee, under the direction of BC Council, will continue to support the development of Baha’i inspired schools, large and small, shorter or longer, physical and/or virtual, and at the regional and local level.
Updates are posted to the website as new schools are planned. Visit the Schools and Archives pages to learn more about schools locations and experiences. As well, visit the Resources tab to find many session recordings and handouts from past events.
It is our ongoing hope that schools will inspire and transform. Come and experience Bahá’í community life and be a part of these dynamic learning communities!
