Regional Bahá’í Schools
British Columbia has a rich history of offering seasonal Bahá’í schools. For decades, and in many communities across the province, Bahá’í schools have brought people together to build community and advance learning. Visit the ‘Schools’ page via the link on the menu bar to learn about our new 2023 Virtual Learning series!
Regional schools are traditionally held in beautiful, outdoor settings where participants lived together for the period of the school. In response to the 2020 health pandemic, the region held its first online school in July 2020, breaking new ground in how we learn and build community together. We continued the virtual format for the 2021 summer school. Introduced to this new ‘venue’ and hearing from participants the many benefits of accessibility and flexibility, the Regional Schools Coordinating Committee will continue to explore the possibilities of virtual options for future regional schools.
Going forward, as health restrictions allow, we look forward to encouraging a variety of school options being developed to help support the learning and deepening interests of each area. The RSCC, under the direction of the Regional Bahá’í Council, continue to support the development of Bahá’í schools, large and small, shorter or longer, physical and/or virtual, at the regional and local level.
Visit the Resources tab to find many session recordings and handouts from past events that are accessible for your use. As well, visit the Archives pages to view some past school experiences.
It is our ongoing hope that schools will inspire, transform and enrich communities through these dynamic learning opportunities.
