Most will range between 2 – 4 hours in length, include breakout group discussions, and will be sprinkled throughout spring, summer, fall and winter. Topics and details will be advertised here as they are finalized.

2023 Virtual Workshops:
October 28th – Fostering transformation: Engaging people in elevated conversations, even across great divides.
Presented by Charlotte Wenninger and Roger Neyman
In an era when public discourses too often tend towards dysfunctional argumentation at cross purposes, how can we engage people in the elevation of these discourses? What characterizes a fruitful conversation? How do we know if we’re creating or sustaining that type of dialogue? What are the guidelines? Are these skills that can be systematically learned and refined?
This session will focus on skill building that will help you to initiate and sustain processes that elevate discourses. Much of this work, and the work of community building is initiated through the art of engaging others in meaningful conversations. Our workshop will focus on the critical role private, transformative, dialogue must play in this regard.
Rather than avoiding conflicting and difficult conversations, we hope to inspire people to willingly engage with others and take part in conversations that will potentially transform our thoughts, expand our intelligence and nurture relationships. These conversations become transformative experiences for both participants.

June 10th – Reorganizing Human Economic Society – Key Aspects of a Bahá’í Approach
Presented by Representatives of Ḥuqúqu’lláh of Alberta, BC & Yukon
Discover how aspects of Bahá’u’lláh’s vision of our unfolding maturity forms an intrinsic part of the Bahá’í approach towards reorganizing human society. Throughout the process we will have an opportunity to discuss the social function of the Right of God and the implications this mighty law may have for our economic and daily life. Through the study of Guidance and examination of some of the individual and societal implications of this institution, we aim to strengthen our capacity to engage in discourses on current economic challenges.
July 8 – Contributing to Social Transformation: Exploring Local Applications of 9-Year Plan Guidance
Presented by Harold Rosen
The Universal House of Justice message of December 30, 2021 offers many insights into this important time in which we are living and the areas of learning and actions needed. Harold Rosen highlights points on how we apply the guidance to build capacity for service, identify barriers, have an outward-looking orientation, be aligned and coherent with this global vision, contribute to public discourses grounded in Bahá’í principles, and serve these goals with like-minded groups and organizations. Join Harold in this important conversation as we explore ideas on how we can contribute to social transformation where we live.
