She has a Music degree from UBC, as well as a degree in education. She spent 20 years as a freelance professional musician and music educator, and now teaches music and drama in BC schools. She is also active as a choral director, performer and studio musician. <strong>Amir Haghighi <\/strong>was born in Tehran, Iran, and studied and sang traditional Iranian music from his youth. Since moving to Canada in the 1980s, he has been a composer and soloist for various professional musical ensembles across Canada. He currently teaches voice in the Lower Mainland.
