Though ‘\u02bbAbdu’l-Bah\u00e1’ and ‘Covenants’ are not yet household words in our part of the world, how can we make progress in confidently introducing them? What might we say about \u02bbAbdu’l-Bah\u00e1’s mission, message and station in response to local issues? And then, how will our more confident words lead to more confident actions?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Session 1 – Introducing \u02bbAbdu’l-Bah\u00e1 & His Significance for Today’s World<\/em>
What are the very first things we might say about \u02bbAbdu’l-Bah\u00e1 when addressing what our world
needs now? How is He significant for the challenges of our time? How does His visit to North America cast light on our daily conversations and activities?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Session 2 – Essentials of Religious Authority & Covenantal Expectation<\/em>
What is the nature of ‘Authority’ in general, and ‘Religious Authority’ in particular? Are we intrinsically ‘Covenantal’ beings of expectation and promise? How does \u02bbAbdu’l-Bah\u00e1 illumine our understanding of ‘The Covenant’, and how does this reflect His ‘Station’?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Session 3 – Models of Uplifting Conversations with Local & Global Import<\/em>
What are some of the most important issues or challenges in our region and our world? What implications do these hold for our teaching, community-building, social action and public discourse? What would \u02bbAbdu’l-Bah\u00e1 have us say and do on these matters?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bio: <\/strong>Harold Rosen is a community interfaith educator living in Abbotsford with his wife Wendy, serving the Bah\u00e1\u2019\u00ed Faith, contributing to community building, while designing and teaching public courses on progressive revelation and world history. He is the author of “Founders of Faith: The Parallel Lives of God’s Messengers” (Bah\u00e1\u02bc\u00ed Publishing, Wilmette) and “Eye to the Ages: The Rise, Fall and Progressive Renewal of Civilization” (un-published but in the George Ronald Archive, Oxford).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
