Participants will be provided with a 10 min introduction to each case and then will break into small groups and using Baha\u2019i writings will explore both spiritual and material pathways that are more just and equitable. Topic areas will include: 1) How climate change is unequal in its impact: through a case study. 2) Challenges with transitioning to renewable resources; how can this be done equitably, who might be left behind? We hope that participants will better understand social justice in the framework of climate change and be inspired to find their course of action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About the Presenters:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Kim Sutherland<\/strong> has been a Bah\u00e1\u2019\u00ed for 45 years and has worked for over 30 years as an environmental scientist and Agrologist (professional agriculturalist). She has worked 20 years as a Regional Agrologist for the Province of BC working with farmers, local governments and, among other things has been involved in helping farmers adapt to climate change. She is a long standing member of the Mission Bah\u00e1\u2019\u00ed community. She has given many public talks on agriculture and has integrated the Bah\u00e1\u2019\u00ed teachings into her public presentations and into her professional life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cheryl Vinchoff<\/strong> has been a Bah\u00e1\u2019\u00ed for 29 years served on various institutions and is currently a member of the LSA of Chilliwack BC and representative for \u1e24uq\u00faqu&#8217;ll\u00e1h.
