Introduction to The Virtues Project™: Bringing Virtues to Life

Date: Sunday, July 26, 2020

Time: 7:15 – 9:00 pm

Presenter: Shidan Toloui-Wallace

The Virtues Project™ is a global grassroots initiative to inspire the practice of virtues in everyday life, sparking a global revolution of kindness, justice, and integrity. Since its inception in 1991 as a program to guide parents in the education of their children, the Virtues Project™ has blossomed and is being used in a variety of ways by thousands of people in more than 100 countries. It was honoured by the United Nations during the International Year of the Family as a “model global program for families of all cultures”.

The Virtues Project™ empowers individuals to live more authentic meaningful lives, families to raise children of compassion and integrity, educators to create safe, caring, and high performing learning communities, and leaders to encourage excellence and ethics in the workplace. It has inspired and mobilized people worldwide to commit acts of service and generosity, to heal violence with virtues.

About the Presenter: Shidan is an educator, mother of three and a Virtues Project Master Facilitator. Shidan has been trained in The Virtues Project by the Popov’s, the originators of the Virtues Project. She has been facilitating Virtues classes for the last 20 years for children, youth as well as workshops for Teachers and Parents. The highlight of her involvement in the Virtues Project was when she spent 2 weeks in the Solomon Islands giving workshops to teachers and principals.
